Elmer Joseph ?Butch? Snodgrass Jr., 64 of Kingsport, TN, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday October 21, 2007 after injuries sustained from a motorcycle wreck.
Butch was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving our country from 1966-1969. Before leaving the Army, Butch became a charter member of the Peacemakers Motorcycle Club, helping to start the Tennessee Chapter in 1968. Butch proudly wore the club colors for 35 years, until his death.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Elaine Steadman Snodgrass.
Butch is survived by his son, ?Little Butch? Snodgrass, Johnson City TN; father, Elmer Joseph Snodgrass, Sr., Kingsport, TN; brother, Joe Snodgrass, Kingsport, TN; nephew, Cody Snodgrass, Kingsport, TN; and cousin, Gary Morelock, Rogersville, TN.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Rick Judd officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 10:00 am at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military rites by Charles Dewitt Byrd Post # 3382 of the V.F.W.
Pallbearers will be members of the Peacemakers Motorcycle Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Peacemakers Motorcycle Club Foundation, 801 Boozy Creek Rd., Blountville Tennessee, 37617.
