Elvin Coffey

Elvin J. Coffey went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 31, 2013. He retired from Mason Dixon Lines.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Frye Coffey, and parents, James and Ada Holt Coffey.

Elvin is survived by daughter, Sandra Woods and husband, Dennis of Kingsport, TN; son, Michael Coffey and wife, Roena of Fall Branch, TN; grandchildren, Brandon, Matthew, Heather, Jamie and Blake; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Bruce Coffey of Charlotte, NC, Rev. Robert Coffey of Bristol, VA, and Fred Coffey of Fall Branch, TN; sisters, Irma Lee Parker and Geredda Blakley, both of Kingsport, and Shirley Baker of Surgoinsville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be Brandon and Matthew Woods, Jamie Coffey and Blake Brookshire.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will follow at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Coffey officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Monday at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
