Emma Lee Stewart, 76, of Blountville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Wellmont Hospice House.
She was born in Kingsport and was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County. Mrs. Stewart had worked as a substitute teacher and at Gla-Mar Galleries. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Church of Christ of Blountville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas C. Stewart; infant son, Donald Stewart; parents, Bruce and Willie Mae Kinsler; two sisters, Phyllis Ballard and Dora Bell Allen; and two brothers, Bartee Kinsler and H. P. Kinsler.
Survivors include three sons, Tony Stewart and wife Debbie of Kingsport, Rusty Stewart and wife Kathy of Bristol, TN, and Rick Stewart and wife Rita of Bristol, VA; four grandchildren, Erik, Josh, and Preston Stewart and Kristi Hutton; six great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ellen Payne; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Minister Allen Rupert, Sr. officiating.
