Emma V. Hale

Emma V. Hale, 102, of Kingsport, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Born on April 24, 1913, Emma was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved and served her Lord and Savior. Emma retired from Rental Uniform Company due to her health. She attended Pleasant View Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kinnie Hale; father, Robert Hood, mother, Phronia Hood; son, Everett Hale; daughter-in-law, Ruby Hale; and grandson, Roger Hale.

Emma is survived by her three grandsons, Cliff Hale and wife Brenda, Jeff Hale and wife Laura, and Troy Hale; great grandchildren, Stacey Halleen and husband Robbie, Steven Hale and wife Tracy, Adam Hale, Julia Hale, Journey and Bliss Hale, Rachael Wedekind and husband Blaine, Taylor Hale and Chandler Hale, and Emma and Olivia Hale; great-great grandchildren, William and Holly Hale, and Haley Halleen; nieces, Kathy Rochester and husband John, and Carolyn Copas and husband Tommy; and nephews, Butch Bowser, Gary Bowser and wife Pat, and Mike Hale and wife, Kay.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.

Burial will immediately follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
