Dale Montieth, 71, Kingsport, passed away Friday, November 16, 2007 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness.
Dale was born in the Limestone community, grew up in Knoxville, and had lived in Kingsport his adult life. He was veteran of the U. S. Army and an employee of Tennessee Eastman, retiring after 31 years of service.
He was a member of Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Johnson Lodge No. 274 Free and Accepted Masons, Scottish Rites Bodies of Knoxville, and Kerbela Shrine Center.
His parents, Raymond and Blanche Montieth; and a daughter, Michelle Montieth preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Margie Montieth of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Brian Brackett of Rome, GA; son, Roger Montieth of Cave Springs, GA; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Jacqueline Brackett; one sister, Nancy Cooper, Maynardville, TN; and one brother, Jackie Montieth, Knoxville, TN.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Masonic Rites will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home by Johnson Lodge No. 274. The funeral service will follow with Rev. David Hambrick officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
