Erma P. Patterson

Erma P. Patterson, 87, of Fall Branch, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2011, after a period of declining health. She was a loving wife of 60 years, devoted mother of three children and beloved grandmother, affectionately known as Mamaw, to each of her five grandchildren.

A retired employee of K-mart, she was loved by everyone who knew her and was generous with hugs and "I love you's" to all who met her. She was a lifelong resident of the Oak Glen community with a close knit family, extended family and many friends. Her presence will be missed by all.

Erma was preceded in death by her parents, Lee K. and Pearl Patterson; brother, Robert L. Patterson and special daughter-in-law, Leisa Patterson.

She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Patterson, Jr.,; daughters, Faith Freeman and husband, Wade, Charlotte Callahan and husband, Ted; son, Bobby Patterson and wife, Tonia; grandchildren, Michael Patterson, Josh Helvey, Keegan Freeman, Alana and Erin Callahan; sisters, Frances Compton, Iris Conant and husband, Ralph; nieces and nephews, Wiladean Vaughn, Robert Lyle Compton, Mackie Anderson, Betty Jo Anderson, Patricia Dawson, Roger Patterson and Jane Murphy.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 27th from 3-5:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch.

Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, November 28th at 10:00 am at Oak Glen Baptist Church Cemetery.
