Ernest E. Eddie Lane, Jr., 61, went to be with the Lord Friday, February 25, 2011 at Indian Path Hospital.
Ernest was born in Kingsport, TN and was a resident of the Greene Valley Developmental Center in Greeneville, TN for almost 49 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Cora Lane and brother, John C. Lane.
Survivors include his brother, Worley R. Lane; sisters, Mildred Sampson; Thelma Kendrick and husband, Robert; Wanda Webb and husband, Roy along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm on Sunday, February 27, 2011 in the Garden of Devotion at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Evangelist Bob Overbey officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Ernest's family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and workers at Greene Valley Developmental Center for their dedication and caring service Ernest received, especially Newell Cottage. Also many thanks to Medical Center Hospice and Indian Path Hospital for their loving care of Ernest.
