Ernestine "Tina" Carico
Ernestine "Tina" Carico, 89, of Kingsport, died Tuesday morning, April 24, 2007, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation-Hillside. She was a former resident of Madison House.
Born in Tacoma, Virginia, she had resided in Kingsport since the early 1940's. She was a homemaker and member of Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder and choir member.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Willard Carico; sisters, Jeanette Mullins and Wilma Horne; one brother, Joseph Horne; and her parents, Ernest and Martha Blankenbecler Horne.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Allen and husband, Gordon, St. Petersburg, Florida, Barbara "Bobbie" Carico, Kingsport, Sue Hartwyk and husband, William, Cherryville, NC; one son, David Carico and wife, Judy, Kingsport; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Greear, Bristol, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor David Hambrick officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
