Essie Lane, 93, Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully Tuesday July 13, 2010 at Wexford House.
Her husband, Hubert T. Lane, son-in-law, Cecil Light, granddaughter, Jody Robinson, parents, Minnie and William R. Combs, brothers, Sidney, Blane, Glen, Dan, Carl, and Jackie Combs preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Marilyn Lane Light; son, Layman Lane and wife Glenda; grandchildren, Danette Mowdy and husband Junior, Captain Chaplain Eric Light and wife Wendy, Aaron Light and fiancée Kelly, Jason Light and wife Natalie; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Alma Shepherd; brother, Bill Combs; and special brother-in-law, Everett Seymour.
Calling hours are 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday July 15, 2010 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Dr. Donnie Brannen and Rev. Richard Harris officiating.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
