Ethel Erdely, 92, Kingsport, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 after a lengthy illness. She was born July 27, 1920 in McDowell County, West Virginia.
Her husband, Steve Erdely, Jr. and a grandson, Shawn Erdely preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Linda McDonald and husband Larry of Concord, NC, Steve Erdely III and wife Mary of Ninety Six, SC, Penny Sue Erdely of Kingsport, Julia Ann Hess and husband Howard of Abingdon, VA; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Phyllis Cline of Geneva, IL; two brothers, Roy Cline and wife Mildred of Sparta, TN and Ronald Cline of Pelzer, SC.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Harold Hawkins officiating.
Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Steve Erdely III, Roy Cline, Mark Parsons, Steve Erdely IV, Howard Hess, and Larry McDonald.
