Ethel Winstead Lawson, of Kingsport, died Saturday January 16, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Ethel was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that will always be remembered for her love of her children and family. She was a dedicated member of Horse Creek Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the Liberty Chapter of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Lawson; her daughter, Willa Dean Crawford; brother, Luther Winstead; and an infant brother, James.
She is survived by a daughter, Norma Jean Price and husband, Claude, of Rogersville; her son, Ronnie Lawson and wife, Carol, of Richmond, KY; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Slonia Winstead and Inez Campbell and husband, Kyle, both of Kingsport; brothers, Marshall Winstead and wife, Letoa, B. W. Winstead and wife, Pauline, Robert Winstead and wife, Joyce, of Rogersville, Eugene Winstead and wife, Mary Joe, of Morristown, and Carl Winstead, of Sneedville; and a sister-in-law, Marie Winstead, of Kingsport.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Hodges officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
