Eugene Cole, Sr

Eugene Cole, Sr., 71, of Kingsport, died after a short battle with cancer on September 3, 2010, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gatha and Daisey Cole, and his son, Eugene Cole, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Cole, of Kingsport; a daughter, Debbie Holt and husband, Dudley, also of Kingsport; daughter-in-law, Missy Cole, Kingsport; grandchildren, Jacob Holt, Amanda Holt, Emily Holt, and Jonathan Cole; great-grandchild, Jayden Cole; sister, Carrie Simpson Gray and husband, Fred, Church Hill; brothers, Wayne Cole, Church Hill, and James Cole and wife, Jeanette, also of Church Hill; niece, Cindy Sims; nephews, Brad Cole and Shannon Simpson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 8:00, with Rev. Clifford Cole officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
