Eugene Edward Kirkpatrick

Eugene Edward Kirkpatrick, 71, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018, after a brief illness. He was a native of Washington Co., TN. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 34 years of service. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Wellmont/Ballad Health. Eugene was an army veteran, serving from 1966 to 1968.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milburn Sr. and Pearl Saylor Kirkpatrick; daughter, Natalie Kirkpatrick Pye; brother, Milburn Kirkpatrick, Jr.; and also an inftant brother and infant nephew.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Karen Jones Kirkpatrick; son, Adam Evans of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren, Alex Pye of Houston, TX, Dalton Pye of San Antonio, TX, Brittany and Caitlin Wilson of Johnson City, TN; sisters, Mrs. Betty Parker of Johnson City, TN, and Mrs. Norma Hale of Many, LA; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Scott Farmer officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Military Rites.

Pallbearers will be family.

The family would like to thank Wellmont Hospice for Eugene's care.
