Eugene Light

Eugene "Gene" Light, born April 10, 1932, of the Beech Creek Community, died April 13, 2009 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, G. Washington Light and Berlie Mae Light; three brothers, Oakly, Ira and Howard Light; and one niece, Peggy Morelock.

Surviving are three brothers, Hansel Light of the home, Bob Light and wife Betsey, Rogersville, Jack Light and wife Judy, Rogersville; one sister, Opal Morelock; four nieces, Patricia Henry, Sue Light, Rebecca Light, and Amy Falin; five nephews, Jimmy Light, Bobby Morelock, Chris Light, Dennis Light, and Ivan Light; three great-nieces, Brittany Smith, Whitney Light, and Greta Light; four great-nephews, Micky Morelock, Michael Morelock, Jacob Falin, and Jordan Falin; three great- great-nephews; and five-great-great nieces.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch Chapel. The funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. with Bro. Dan Dolen and Elder Shelton Meade officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Morrison Cemetery in Rogersville, TN. Pallbearers will be Ivan Light, Chris Light, Clayton Light, Micky Morelock, Tom Light, and Jerry Matthews.
