Eula Morelock Steadman, 78, went to sleep in the arms of Jesus, Monday, December 25, 2006, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a native of Sullivan County and a former employee of Tennessee Eastman Company. Eula was a devoted Christian wife and mother and a charter member of Saving Grace Baptist Church.
Her father and mother, Ellis and Etta Morelock, sister, Vesta Chase, brother, Thurman Morelock, great-granddaughter, Megan Carter and son-in-law, John Bellamy Jr., preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband, J. C. Steadman, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Will and Linda Carter, Gray, TN; daughter, Mrs. Jan Bellamy, Gray, TN; three grandchildren, Jason Carter and wife Monica, Gulfport, MS; Jay Carter and wife, Diedre, Gray, TN; Amanda Hawkins and husband Joe, Gray, TN; five great-grandchildren, Savannah, Josie, Justin, Jake, and Sarah.
Calling hours are 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Roy Lane, Rev. Dale Morelock, and Rev. Robert L. Steadman officiating.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Jason Carter, Jay Carter, Joe Hawkins, Scott Beckerink, Rodney Roberts, and J. D. Steadman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Orville Steadman, Ed Morelock, and Odell Holden
