Eulola M. Lane was born in Pattonsville, VA in 1924 to the late Steven and Maggie Pearcy Lane. She moved to Kingsport, TN in 1947 and obtained employment at Borden Mills JP Stevens where she worked for 40 years in Weave I before retiring in 1987. In 1949 she married Granville Lane in Gate City, VA. They had two children, Diananna Sue, who
lived three months, and Paula.
Mom enjoyed so many things in life but she loved her flowers most of all. After she retired, you could find her on warm days somewhere in her yard tending to her flowers. She truly had a green thumb and could start or grow anything. She survived breast cancer and fought a hard battle against the dementia that finally overcame her. All that really knew her loved her and she returned that love to so many. She was a hard worker and believed that everyone should earn their way in the world but yet she helped so many. Eulola put her trust and faith in God and believed that he knew what was best for her even after the dementia was diagnosed. Not once during the cancer or the dementia did she ever waiver in her faith, nor question why me? She was a strong woman that made her way in this world by her rules and beliefs. Eulola will be missed by those that knew and loved her but our lives will forever be blessed because she was there.

Mom loved her flowers but felt that the money should be spent on something else instead of her, so take a road trip and take time to smell the flowers in her honor. The family requests that no food be brought to the home.
