Eulys Vernon Walton
Eulys Vernon Walton, Sr., 86, Piney Flats, formerly of Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord early Wednesday morning at his daughter-in-law's home following an extended illness.
E.V. was born in Lee County VA and resided in Kingsport prior to moving to Fall Branch. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy. He was an employee of Holston Defense where he retired in 1987. E. V. was of the Baptist Faith.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; his parents, Ruben and Beuna Walton; and his sister, Gladys Turner.
He is survived by two sons, Junior Walton and wife Debbie, Kingsport, TN and Danny Walton and wife Lynn, Piney Flats, TN; grandchildren, Vicki Hubert and husband Paul, Tammy Johnson and husband Jeff, Paul Walton and wife Tiffany, Jimmy Walton, and Elizabeth Walton. He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren Danielle and Hannah Hubert and Abby and Daniel Walton.
Calling hours are from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor J. W. Depew officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be given to the Second Harvest Food Bank, 127 Dillon Court, Gray, TN 37615.
