Euna M. Smith

Euna V. Smith of Mt. Carmel died at Johnson City Medical on March 26 after a short illness. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Rogersville. Euna will be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert L. Smith; parents John E. and Pearl Bailey McLain; brothers, Henson, Garnie, Chester McLain; a infant brother; and sisters, Vera May McLain, Dolly Edens, and Jessie Dykes.

Euna is survived by daughter Lana Jo Smith; son, Johnny M. Smith Carol Holder; granddaughter, Tanya Hutson and husband, Steve; great-granddaughters, Bailey and Liliana Gregg; great-grandsons, Jacob Gregg and Alex Hutson; brother, Charlie McLain Eula; sisters, Freda Christian, and Betty Jo Hunley Lyle; brothers-in-law, Howard Edens and Charles Larkins; sister-in-law, Lois McLain; and a good friend of the family, Joe D. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, on Friday, from 12-2:00 p.m. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Randall L. Pressnell and Rev. Gary Gibson officiating. D.L. Smith will provide the music. An entombment service will follow at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Lavere Edens, Logan Hunley, James Harold Smith, Jacob Gregg, Alex Hutson, Bailey and Liliana Gregg. The honorary pallbearer will be George Cloud.
