Eunice J. Stata

Eunice J. Stata, 85, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Jack Williams, following a lengthy illness. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kingsport. Miss Stata started her working career at the Kingsport Press where she had worked for 20 years. She then moved to the Washington, DC, area and worked for the U.S. Government Printing office until her retirement.

Miss Stata was preceded in death by her parents, C. Ray and Lucy Stata; sister, Wilma Kilgore; and brothers-in-law, Ed Bedford, James Hensley, Jr., Garry Kilgore, and Mack Todd.

She is survived by sisters, Inez Todd, Lena Hensley, and Loretta Williams and husband Jack, all of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Ron Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Park with nephews and nieces serving as pallbearers.
