Eva Mae Cassidy, 73, of Kingsport passed away peacefully in her sleep following a lengthy illness.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
Preceding her in death were her mother and father, Robert Guy and Nettie Barker Guy; her husband, Clyde; one daughter, Audrey F. Gilliam; one son, Clyde F. Cassidy Jr.; one brother, Hubert Guy; and two sisters, Hazel Hollar and Ruby Housewright.
Surviving are four daughters, Sheila Ferguson, Mary Ann Cassidy, Dawn Cassidy, Sarah Petersen and husband, Eric; one son, Tim Cassidy and wife, Kathy; eleven grandchildren, Alicia Cassidy, Victoria Castle, Timothy Cassidy, Travis Yates, Samuel Ferguson, Kristy Leonard, Heather Stapleton, Tony Gilliam, Halie Cassidy, John Anderson, and Heather Bledsoe; seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Carrol and Barbara Wallen; one brother, Preston Guy; a special son-in-law, Billy Gilliam; special friend, Ken Scott; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, who all loved her with all their hearts.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor M. LeBron Palmer officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Yates, Sam Ferguson, Timothy Cassidy, Tony Gilliam, Daniel McGuire, Eric Petersen, and Matt Branscom.
