Eva Kathleen Holt, 89, formerly of Kingsport, died early Sunday morning, August 12, 2007 at Emerald Ridge Rehab and Care Center in Asheville, NC.
She was born in Macon, GA and had resided in Kingsport since 1947. She served as a volunteer at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center for many years.
Mrs. Holt was a member of First Baptist Church and the Flower Lovers Garden Club.
Her husband, James I. Holt; parents, Eddie and Mary Biggerstaff Etheredge; one sister, Alice Jones; and two brothers, John Wesley Etheredge and Ed Etheredge preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, James Iverson Holt II, Gatlinburg, TN and Robert W. Holt and wife, Linda, Kingsport; one grandson, Tanner Holt; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Roger Sowder officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
