Evan Stone

Evan Stone, 23, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 16, 2011. He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and had graduated from Dobyns-Bennett high school in 2005. He was a proud father and husband and loved spending time with his family. If he wasn't watching a UT Vols football game, he was working on a car.

Evan was preceded in death by his mother, Tammy Bradshaw; grandfather, James E. Stone; two great-grandfathers, Homer Hensley and Willie Frost; two uncles, Ricky Stone and David Stone and one great-great aunt, Edith Hooker.

Survivors include his wife, Shasta Stone of Castlewood, VA; two sons, Jacob Evan Stone and Brayden David Stone both of Castlewood, VA; father, Jim Stone of Kingsport; four sisters, Kristel Pratt of Knoxville; Katie Turner-Pinkham of Danvers, MA; Courtney Stone of Kingsport, Callie Stone of Kingsport; two grandmothers, Ina Peters of Kingsport, Brenda Stone of Kingsport; two great-grandmothers, Ina Hensley of Church Hill, Maudie Frost of Kingsport; one niece, Natalie Pratt of Knoxville; two nephews, Skylar Pratt and Noah Pratt both of Knoxville, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will begin at 7 pm with Rev. Johnny Burton officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 pm on Saturday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Carland, Chuck Carland, Kevin Pratt, Jack Pinkham, Josh Honaker, Brian Dockery, Joey Morgan and Jackson McCurry. Honorary pallbearers are Jonathan Williams, Skylar Pratt, Chandler Carland, Bill Frost, Billy Salyers and Daniel Blessing.
