Evelyn Sue Baines, 82 of Kingsport, passed away on December 25, 2012 at her home. She was born in Nickelsville, Va then resided in Sarasota, Fl for eighteen years before returning to Kingsport in 1987. Evelyn attended Gravelly Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Baines; parents, Luther and Elsie Powers; and sister, Ruth King.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Richard Cole and wife Anne of Kingsport; daughter, Judy Nuttle of Bradenton, Fl; and two grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral service will be conducted after at 8 p.m. with Pastor David Salley officiating.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at Holston View Cemetery.
In lieu of food memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Rd. Suite 102 Johnson City, TN 37601.
