Evelyn L. Crawford, 79, of Kingsport, passed away Tuesday morning, December 13, 2011 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Sullivan County and had resided in Kingsport for most of her life. Evelyn worked for Kingsport Laundry for several years and later worked for the Laundry Shop. She was a member of Sloan Town Community Church, loved Jesus and going to Pigeon Forge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Crawford; parents, Henry and Juanita Ketron; sister, Dolly Dykes and brother, Billy Ketron.
Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Judy Cunningham of Blountville and Christene McClellan and husband, Jack of Kingsport; three sons, Danny Crawford and wife, Debbie of Gate City, VA, Michael Crawford and wife, Tammy of Nickelsville, VA and Noah Crawford and wife, Katie of Kingsport; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy Sumner and husband, Tom of Church Hill; brother, Carl Ketron and wife, Miachele of Gate City, VA; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Aaron Edens officiating. Pallbearers will be Israel Crawford, Jacob Crawford, Johnny McClellan, Bud McClellan, Travis Steffey and Billy Booher.
