Evelyn Davis

Evelyn Davis, 82, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Sunday April 25, 2010 at Wellmont HVMC following a brief illness.

She was born in and was a life-long resident of Sullivan County. Evelyn was a member of the Fort Robinson Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Davis; husband, Robert Lee Davis; grandson, Brandon Davis; and brother, Bob Arnold.

Surviving are three sons, Larry Davis and Terri Light, Keith Davis and wife Tammy, and Jerry Davis and Helen; five grandchildren, Crystal Johnson, Courtney Davis, Summer Davis, Daniel Davis, and Haley Davis; three great-grandchildren, Kiera Johnson, McKenna Johnson, and Megan Weber; sister, Ruth Pratt; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be at 8:30 p.m. with Pastor Mike Stout officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
