Evelyn "Toodie" Feathers, 85, died on Thursday, June 5, 2014. Born in Bluff City, TN she was the daughter of Lucy Webb Henson and Thomas J. Henson. Toodie lived in Manchester and Hillsboro for many years, returning to live in Kingsport in 1999. She grew up in the Bluff City United Methodist Church and attended Airport Christian Church in recent years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Billie R. Miller, three sisters and one brother.
Toodie is survived by her husband, Earl Lee Feathers, Sr. of Kingsport; daughters, Jim and Jean Miller Plecker of Pelham, AL, and Skip and Ann Miller Skipper of Greeneville, TN; son, Roger Miller of Estill Springs, TN; stepchildren, Sandy and Joe Barker, Donald and Cindy Feathers, Robert "Bob" and Jenny Feathers, and Earl Feathers, Jr., two grandchildren, Adam Plecker and Lauren Miller; nieces and nephews, Harriet Masters, Cynda Brooks, Ben C. Brewer and Lyle Henson; and seven step-grandchildren, Teresa Prater, Logan Barker, Jody Barker, Mindy Feathers, Samuel Feathers, Lauren Feathers and Rebecca Feathers.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-4:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday at 2:00 pm at Morning View Cemetery with Mr. David Ensminger officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Stewart, John Austrey, R. Fred Smith, Bill Bryant, Bill Harwood, Charles Rutledge, Roger Brooks, Bill Webb, Lee Magness
