Evelyn Haynes

Evelyn went home to be with her husband Tom in their heavenly home Saturday March 9th surrounded by her loving family.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Evelyn enjoyed going to Piccadilly with her son Larry everyday visiting with their friends. Thanks to the wonderful ladies at Piccadilly for always being so kind to her. She loved babysitting her grand dogs, Gwennie, Gus, Maks, and Zoey. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joys.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Haynes; mother and father, Forest and Rosella McMurray; brother, Bobby McMurray; nephews, Greg McMurray and Tony McMurray.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Brown and husband Mike; son, Ronnie Haynes and wife Elisa, son, Larry Haynes; sister, Edna Carpenter and husband Fred; brother, Dale McMurray and wife Kathrine; brother-in-law, David Haynes and wife Ruby; sisters-in-law, Reatha Christian and Mary Haynes of Jacksonville, Florida; granddaughters, Cassie Honaker, Arisha McCoy and Tennille Shipley; grandson, Brian Haynes; nine great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a family viewing Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Stout officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Carpenter, Eric Carpenter, Fred Carpenter, Brian Haynes, Charles Honaker, and Bobby McMurray.
