Everette Reeves Sells went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. After several years of health issues he spent the last months in an assisted living facility. He was able to celebrate his 95th birthday on May 25th.
After retiring from Eastman Chemical with more than 30 years of service, he was able to enjoy his passion, farming. Everette loved the Lord and his church, Beulah Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon, a pillar of his community, Sunday School teacher, working with the youth, bus ministry and serving as overseer of Beulah Community Cemetery.
Everette's love for his family and friends was never ending. He looked forward to their many visits.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Fleenor Sells; his parents, Clarence and Sarah Sells; sons, Bobby Sells and Roy Sells; and two brothers, James and Elmer Sells.
Everette is survived by his sister, Barbara Lipscomb; daughter, Judy Phillips; two daughters-in-law, Judy Sells and Elaine Sells; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family of Everette is so thankful to the staff of Brookdale - Rock Springs and Amedysis Hospice for their loving care during this stay there. We appreciate the many family and friends for their helping hands these last few years while at home. A very special thank you to Denver Ford for his extraordinary care of Everette.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Al South and Rev. Kenneth Kyker officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Denver Ford, Jerry Sanders, Don Douglas, Cameron Sells, Brandon Sells, Tommy Sells and Wendell Milsap. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Seymour and Matthew Phillips
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beulah Community Cemetery Fund 760 Beulah Church Rd. Kingsport, TN 37663.
