Fannie Bishop

Fannie Bishop, 87, Kingsport, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the home of Vickie Steadman after a period of declining health. She was a lifelong resident of Kingport and was a member of Gospel Mission Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bishop; daughter, Linda Bishop Spencer; parents, Ed Lynn and Flora Lemmons Steadman, Sr.; two sisters; three brothers; and grandson-in-law, Ralphie Clifford.

Fannie is survived by two granddaughters, Lynn Clifford and Carla Devoti; grandson, Jimmy Hammonds; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Charles Steadman and Hubert Steadman; and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for the care, kindness and love shown to Fannie, her life was richly blessed by each of your visits.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Chaplain Jerry Ketron officiating.
