Faye Bullis

Faye Bullis, 81, of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Faye was a member of Higher Ground for several years. She loved singing in the choir. Faye worked in the insurance department at the Kingsport Press/Quebecor for 36 years. She loved to travel with her husband Bill, going all over the world, but she especially loved her trip to Israel, where she was baptized a second time in the River Jordan.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Adeline P. Burke; father, Ralph Burke; step-sons, Jeffrey A. Bullis and Daren S. Bullis; step-grandson, Bradley R. Bullis; sister, Marie Addington; brother, Buford Burke; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Faye is survived by her husband, Bill R. Bullis; sisters-in-law, Jean Reed and husband Ruble, Marie Bullis and husband Jerry, Judy Christian, and Frankie Bullis; aunt, Blanch Housley; and special friend, Iva Jean Rogers.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Higher Ground Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Brother Ronnie Owens officiating. Music by Higher Ground Baptist Church Choir.

Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery.
