Faye Ward Gott, 72, of Kingsport, died Tuesday evening, June 26, 2007, at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol after an extended illness.
Born in Hawkins County, Tennessee, she had resided in Kingsport most of her life. She was a 1953 graduate of Lynn View High School and a former employee of ITT in Gray. Faye was a member of Midfield Free Will Baptist Church.
Her parents, Alvin and Elissa Ward, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Hubert Gott of the home; two daughters, Dawn Gott and Kay Poff, both of Kingsport; two grandsons, Michael Poff and Mark Poff; and one uncle, Rowd Ward, Surgoinsville.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Billy Gragg officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Gary Gott, Ronnie Gott, Ricky Gott, Rich Gott, Jerry Gott, and Steven Gott.
The family would like to thank Dr. Daryl Pierce and staff, Dr. James Blom and staff? especially Tom? the 3rd Floor Staff at Indian Path Medical Center, and Wellmont Hospice House.
