Faye McLain

Charlotte Faye McLain, 53, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

A Greene County native, she was a daughter of the late Dana and Ozetta Charlton. She's lived in Washington County for the past 20 years and was a teacher's assistant at Gray Elementary School for the past 13 years. Mrs. McLain enjoyed her work and loved the children she taught.

Mrs. McLain was a Christian lady who greatly desired to see others come to know Christ, and she was a wonderful wife and mother. She was a faithful member of Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. McLain is survived by her husband, Roy McLain of the home, a daughter, Amy Snapp and husband, Bill of Piney Flats; a son, Aaron McLain and wife, Maria of Vineland NJ; a sister, Ina Elkins, of Kingsport; and grandchildren Mitchell and Morgan Snapp, and Ellie and Kaleb McLain; two half sisters and a half brother, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Faye McLain will be conducted at 7:00 pm Friday, March 27th at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church in Gray, TN with Preacher Robert Fultz officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 27, at Buffalo Ridge Church in Gray, TN from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 28 at Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at Buffalo Ridge Church at 10:00 a.m. for the processional. Pallbearers will be Gerald Gray, Terry Nunley, Robin Horner, Chris Wilson, Matt Gilmore, and Terrill Milburn.
