Fern Johnson, 103, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Wexford House. Born in Greene County, TN, she lived in Greene County and Kingsport all of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Johnson; parents, Marion and Della Kenney, of Baileyton, TN; and three sisters.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Hal and Linda Johnson, Kingsport; five grandchildren, Chris Saggiomo, Carneys Point, NJ, Colt Johnson, Lynchburg, VA, Rachel Johnson, Lumberton, NJ, Bob Webb, Roanoke, VA, and Terri Mitchell, Virginia Beach, VA; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Cemetery, Baileyton, with Dr. Ron Davis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 200 W. Church Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660, designated for missions.
