Flora Jean Fish

Flora Jean Fish, 81, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, January 25, 2018. Flora was born in Kingsport, where she lived for most of her life. She was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School, class of '54, and a graduate of Tri Cities State Tech. Flora was a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of ESA International for more than 50 years. Flora was a founding board member of Sullivan County Imagination Library and served as a volunteer in other philanthropic organizations. She was a charter member of Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, O.L. and Stella Hunt; brother, Lewis Hunt; and in-laws, Guy and Johnnie Fish.

Flora is survived by her husband of 61 years, Stanley Fish; son, Allen Fish and wife, Paula; daughters, Barbara Goforth and husband, Joe, and Linda Mann and husband, Kenneth; grandchildren, Hunter Fish, Mary Elizabeth Phelps and husband, Ben, and Brian and Russell Evans; great-grandsons, Peyton and Jack Phelps; sister, Mary Jane Mancuso and husband, Mark of Johnson City; sister-in-law, Chloe Hunt; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A special appreciation to the staff of Life Care Center of Gray for their loving care for Flora and her family.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pitser Miller Lyons IV, officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
