Fran Morelock

Fran Morelock, 74, of Rogersville went to be with the Lord Monday, December 15, 2014 at her home.

Born in Sullivan County, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Carrie Tate Nelson. She was a member of New Haven Church for many years. Fran's hobbies included spending all the time she possibly could with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was the world's biggest Atlanta Braves baseball fan.

In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Joe Nelson and Earl Nelson; two sisters, Ruby Morelock and Eileen McClintock; and one son, Clayton Morelock.

She is survived by her spouse of 55 years, Bud Morelock of the home; two sons, Lowery Morelock and wife, Lisa of Murfreesboro, and Michael Morelock of Hermitage; six grandchildren, Mandy Poe and husband Scott, Matthew, Adam, Daniel, Bynum, and Annabelle Morelock; three great-grandsons, Alex, Dylan, and Mason; two brothers, J.W. Nelson and wife, Rosa, and Brady Nelson; one sister, Unavee Jackson; God-granddaughter, Danielle; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm on Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Keith Williams and Pastor Ronnie Baxter officiating.

The graveside service will be at 12 noon on Saturday at Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
