Frances Horne Litz

Frances Horne Litz, 84, of Blountville, TN, went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, after a lengthy illness. She was a former member of Centenary United Methodist Church and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She retired from Walmart in Colonial Heights. Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Litz; brother, Gene Horne; and parents, Mary and O.S. Horne.

Frances is survived by four children, Donna Horne and husband, Ray of Blountville, Danny Litz of Kingsport, Norma Cassell "Ruthie" and husband, Roger of Gate City, VA, and Martin "Marty" Litz of Blountville; four grandchildren, Amanda Litz Ledford, Ashley Litz, Mitchell Cassell and Courtney Cassell; two step-grandchildren, Roy Horne and wife, Carol and Debbie Horne Baker; two step-great-grandchildren; brother, Lonnie Horne and wife, Connie of Kingsport; sister-in-law, Janice Litz; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A special thanks to her caregiver, Rebecca Justice, Nerva Lee, Mary Jean Calton, Beth Finch, Donna Hyatt, Amy Hooker Tate and to the 2600 unit and hospice at Johnson City Medical Center.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 7-9:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Emory United Methodist Church with Rev. Dewey Williams and Rev. Randal Shupe officiating.

Burial will follow at Emory United Methodist Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Ledford, Bryan Cooke, Danny Jarrett, Mike Arnold, David Carter and Mike Athey. Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Horne, Danny Ford, Denny Ford, Ken Rikker and Chuck Arnold.
