Frances Penley, 91, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 16, 2007.
She was born in Kingsport, but had resided most of her life in Washington County. She was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Jim and Martha Collins; five sisters, Ida Yakley, Dale Hicks, Daisy Collins, Edna McDavid, Liddie Dotson; two brothers, J. Fred Collins and Henry Collins; and three husbands, Grady B. Blakley, Thomas Curtis, and Bill Penley.
Surviving are two sons, James Albert Blakley and wife, Margaret, Johnson City, Don Blakley, Johnson City; three grandchildren, James Blakley, Danny Blakley, Bobby Blakley; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis H. Spears officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jonesborough.
