Frank E. Johnson

Frank Elisworth Johnson, 33, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Johnson City Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer. He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School. Frank was a volunteer firefighter with the Bloomingdale Fire Department. He was a very good handyman and enjoyed helping people.

He was preceded in death by his father, Blain "Buck" Johnson, and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Susie Johnson.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Victoria Johnson of Kingsport; mother, Diane Johnson of San Antonio, TX; maternal grandmother, Joyce Bishop of Gray; 3 sisters, Jenny Johnson and fiancé, Josh Shepherd of Kingsport, Angie Mendoza of San Antonio, TX, and Marsha Portillo and husband, Jhonatan of San Antonio; 3 nieces, Cassie Collins, Lauren Bentley and Elise Bentley; and 3 nephews, Blain Collins, Ayden Crumley and Alan Michael Bentley.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 11-1:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Edward R. Shepherd officiating. And entombment service will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Ben Johnson, Brick Johnson, Jhonatan Portillo, Josh Shepherd, Jonathan Ketron and Blain Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Ayden Crumley, Austin Shepherd and Raymond Mims.
