Frank Patterson

Frank Patterson, 86, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. A graduate of Holston Institute in 1950, Frank worked at Mead Paper, over 40 years. He was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church for over 20 years and a member of the pairs and spares Sunday School Class. Frank served our country in the United States Marine Corps in the early 50's. He loved traveling, gardening, and people.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, James and Julia Patterson; and brothers, Mack Patterson and John Patterson.

Frank is survived by his wife of 57 years, Blanche Patterson; brothers, C.D. Patterson and Charles Patterson; several nieces and nephews; and several special friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Jack Edwards and Rev. Spurgeon McCartt officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Military Rites provided by The American Legion Posts 3/265.
