Franklin Delenore Cox

Franklin Delenore Cox passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Brookdale in Forest City, NC.  Born in Sullivan County, TN, he has lived in this area most of his life.  He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army and was a member of the House of Prayer Worship Center.

Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Ernest Cox and Pansy Frances Hyatt Cox and five brothers.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Joyce Williamson and husband, Rodney; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Dottie, Shirley, Viola and Della; brother, Roy; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Blountville, TN.  A service will follow at 4:30 p.m. officiated by Pastor Jimmy Phillips. 

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park, Blountville, with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 3/265.
