Franz Peter Wind, IV

Franz Peter Wind IV, 51 of Pella, Iowa joined his Lord on Saturday, June 15, 2013. He spent his childhood and teenage years in the Kingsport area. He received his Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Tennessee and his Masters in Business Administration from Georgia College. Pete was a member of Federated Fellowship Church in Pella.

He was devoted to wife and children and loved fly fishing in the mountains.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Pete is survived by his wife, Donna Wind of Pella; son, Petty Officer Franz Peter Wind V of Kingsland, Georgia; daughter, Amanda Danielle Wind of Lillington, North Carolina; two aunts, Mrs. Fern Kilby and husband Joseph Kilby of Kingsport and Mrs. Clara Scott and husband Jim Scott of Blountville. He is mourned by a host of family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Hamlet-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Long Family Cemetery in Nora, Virginia.
