Fred Allen Cox

Fred Allen Cox, 53, of Fall Branch, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, December 8, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at Indian Path Medical Center.

He was born, December 1, 1964, in Kingsport, and was a life-long resident of the Tri-cities.

Fred was a beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle. He was a man of God and faithful member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church. He loved his family, including his fur babies, dearly.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Wilma (Turner) Harris and Roy Brown; paternal grandparents, Oscar (Audrey) Cox; and father, Johnny Cox.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Karen (Davenport) Cox; mother, Trula F. Cox; sisters, Teresa Cox Isley and Anita Cox; brother, Roy (Melissa) Cox; nephews, Donald Cox, Brandon (Laura) Cox, Dakota Cox, Mason Cox, Robbie (Cieara) Davenport, and Josh Davenport; nieces, Madison Cox, Haley Cox, and Jamie Davenport; great-nephews, Liam Cox and Lincoln Cox; great niece, Aaliyah Cox; special "nieces and nephews", Angel Crawford, Hunter Crawford, Jon Young, and Justin Hill; and special friends, Carol Crawford and John Hill.

You are cordially invited to a time of visitation on Monday, December 11, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch Chapel. The funeral service to commemorate the life of Fred Allen Cox will be conducted on Monday, December 11, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch, with Pastor Harold Morelock and Scott Cunningham officiating.

He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Logans Chapel United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Donald Cox, Brandon Cox, Dakota Cox, Mason Cox, Robbie Davenport, and Hunter Crawford.
