Fred Dotson
Fred Dotson of Kingsport passed away at home after a brief illness on Saturday, February 8, 2014.
He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a long-term member of the Kingsport Antique and Rod Club and owner of Kingsport Body Works.
Fred was preceded in death by his grandson, Jarret Long.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Ernestine (Ann) Dotson; children, Angela Long, Leonard Dotson, and Lorraine Cornett; grandchildren, Brent Long, Dustan Long, and Grant Cornett; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Monroe.
A celebration of Fred's life will be held at Sunnyside Baptist Church from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Dr. Roy D. Graves officiating.
Private graveside services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Fred's memory to Ronald McDonald House Charities, 418 N. State of Franklin Rd., Johnson City, TN 37604.
