Fred Robert Fraysier

Fred Fraysier, 85, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord at Indian Path Medical Center on Tuesday, September 4th. He was born in Ft. Blackmore, VA but had lived most of his life in Kingsport. Fred was an auto body technician in this area for several years. He then worked for Westmoreland Coal Company in Appalachia, VA where he retired. Upon retirement, he worked as a greeter in home and garden at Wal-Mart on Ft. Henry Drive. Fred loved to work but he also enjoyed fishing and hunting as well.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Nannie Fraysier.

Fred is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joanne S. Fraysier; sons, Jeff Fraysier and wife, Donna, Donnie Fraysier and wife, Paige, and Mike Fraysier; daughters, Tammy Bowery and husband, J.B., and Sheila Mullins and husband, Darrell; nine grandchildren, Bradley Frasier and fiancée, Indya Kittrell, Aaron Fraysier, Lauren Fraysier, Holly Fraysier, Leslie Fraysier, Wesley Bowery and wife, Brittany, Jonathan Bowery and wife, Beth, Dustin Mullins and fiancée, Kayla Clonce, and Travis Mullins; and three great-grandchildren, Isaiah Bowery, Eli Bowery and Madalyn Mullins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 6th from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Susan Lankford, Rev. Garry Eads and Rev. J.B. Bowery officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, September 7th at 10:00 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Posts 3/265.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Fraysier, Aaron Fraysier, Wesley Bowery, Jonathan Bowery, Dustin Mullins and Travis Mullins.
