Fred Lane
Fred Lane, 65, of Greeneville, TN went to be with the Lord Saturday April 21, 2007.
Born in Norton, VA, he moved to Ohio where he lived most of his life; moving back to East Tennessee in the later part of his life.
Mr. Lane worked at Worthington Ball in Elyria, Ohio for 23 years as a sandblaster.
He loved to fish, hunt, camp, and also enjoyed watching NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orbin Lane and Emma Tucker; sister, Shelby Jean ?Toots? Lane; and step-mother, Louise Lane.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Phyllis Lane, of the home; daughter, Cherie Jones and husband, Mike, Greeneville; sons, Freddy Lane and wife, Lori, Elyria, OH, Jason Lane and wife, Stephanie, Elyria, OH, and Darl Beckham and wife, Pam, Bellevue, OH; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Lane and wife, Lois, and Vestal Tucker and wife, Lisa, both of Fall Branch; and one step-brother, Harry Browning and wife, Jane, Lorain, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude?s Children?s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
