Fred D. Pete Roberts

Fred D. "Pete" Roberts, 66, of Kingsport died Monday, November 29, 2010 at Johnson City Medical Center. Born in Sullivan County, where he had lived his entire life, Pete was a carpenter last working at Estes Construction.

Preceded in death are his parents, McKinley and Eileen Roberts; and a brother, Jim Roberts.

Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Michele Roberts Renner of Church Hill; two sons, Doug Roberts and wife, Emily of Ocean Springs, MS, and Anthony Roberts of Church Hill; grandson, Jonathon Renner; granddaughter, Maggie Jo Roberts; brother, Paul Roberts and wife, Karen of Kingsport; niece, Tracey Roberts his nephew, Bobby Peters; and his special friends, Terry Robinson, Claude Housewright, and Dan Estes.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. The service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor David Powers officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Sid Davis, Brad Housewright, Claude Housewright, Mike Wilder, Colin Smith, Dan Estes, John Estes, Carole Fuller and Terry Robinson.
