Freddie Frazier, 64, Mount Carmel, 1st Sgt. Retired, United States Army passed away Saturday January 19, 2008 at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation - Hillside.

Freddie was born in Norton, VA. He had resided in Kingsport since his youth. He attended Sullivan High School before going into the U. S. Army in 1962, where he served until 1988. Freddie served two tours of duty in Vietnam, two tours of duty in Korea, in the European theater and various areas of the U.S. He was an instructor at the University of Southern Mississippi in the ROTC Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Lee and Ruby May Redman Frazier; and one sister, Becky Snyder.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Linda Frazier, of the home; two sons, Bryan K. Frazier and fiancee, Kathy Humphrey, Knoxville, TN, and Tyler L. Frazier and fiancee, Sherry Hartsell, Mt. Carmel, TN; two grandchildren, Danielle Frazier and Elizabeth Frazier; sisters, Betty Emogene Barner, Carters Valley, TN, Joy Neff, Kingsport, Wanda June Maness, Kingsport, and Marie Jones, Clinchport, VA; brothers, J.C. Frazier, Church Hill, TN, Donald Frazier, Kingsport, TN, and Ronald Frazier, Kingsport, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Arden Taylor officiating.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at East Lawn Memorial Park. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Hawkins County Color Guard and the Tennessee National Guard.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
