Frederick C. Russell

Frederick Clayton "Fred" Russell, 62, of Kingsport, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 12, 2014, after an extended illness.

Fred was a member and Elder of Freedom Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his family, his church family and all his friends.

He was retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 32 years of service in the Information Technology Department as a computer analyst. During those years, God called Fred to preach, so all his free time was spent preaching and leading lost souls to the Lord. He loved to witness to anyone he came in contact with about his wonderful Savior.

Fred was an entrepreneur, spending 30 years avidly collecting, restoring and selling antiques. His hobbies included lawn and interior designing. He loved to create beautiful landscapes and home interiors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and June Russell of Fall Branch. Survivors are his wife, Liz Brown Russell; daughters, Erica Russell and Jessicka Russell Parrott both of Kingsport; sister, Earlene Russell Johnson of Fall Branch; grandchildren, Hannah Parrott, Emma Parrott, Keaton Regar, Alyssa Blevins and Caitlyn Blevins, and their father, Clinton Blevins; nephew, Dalon Pickering; and niece, Hera Pickering.

Fred would like to invite you to come to celebrate his birth to his Heavenly Home. Fellowship with the family will be Saturday, May 17, from 3 pm to 6 pm at Freedom Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 401 W. Sullivan St., Kingsport, TN. The Celebration will start at 6 pm with Pastor Roy Lane and Pastor Lester Morelock officiating.
