Frederick "Tom" Schneider, 82, Fall Branch, passed away at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at James H. Quillen V.A. Medical Center.
He was born in Astoria, New York and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during World War II. Tom retired as a school bus driver on Long Island in New York.
Preceding him in death were a son, David Ray Schneider; five brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine R. Schneider of the home; two daughters, Tammy Nedbal and husband Reggie of San Rafael, California, Isabelle Ann Hamilton and husband Charles of Fall Branch; one son, Fredrick Joseph Schneider and wife Laura of Englewood, Colorado; six grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Schneider of St. Augustine, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch and any time at the home of a daughter, Isabelle Ann Schneider Hamilton, 630 Oak Glen Circle, Fall Branch, TN.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Chaplain Sam Scaggs officiating and military rites by Charles DeWitt Byrd Post #3382 of the V.F.W.
