Frederick Dyer Williams

Frederick "Fred" Williams, 76, of Kingsport, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at his home. Fred was born in Ivanhoe, VA and had resided in Kingsport most of his life. He was retired from Holliston Mills. Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rita Gray, mother Thelma Williams and sister, Juanita Thorton.

Fred is survived by his wife, Ethel Larkins Williams of Kingsport; three children, Gene Alan Williams and wife, Pam of Cleveland, TN, Diane Bledsoe and husband, Tim of Kingsport, and Frederick Jerald Williams of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Christy, Jason, Jeremy, Jacob, Jessica; and step-grandchildren, Jeremy and Josh; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew, Tiffany, Haley, Emma Ashlyn, Jaci and Aiden Dyer; brother, Terry Williams of Richmond, VA; sister, Frances Graham of Richmond, VA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Pastor Alan Buckles officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
